Abdul Halim Jantan, FMII, is a 40 year old veteran in the practice of Risk Management and Risk Transfer, the art and science of developing insurance solutions. Prior to founding Sterling Group of Companies, he spent 14 years at American Malaysian Insurance Berhad (AMI), being the CEO in his last posting. Through the years, he has successfully established Sterling as the Premium Independent Power Plant (IPP) Broker in the insurance and reinsurance market and he is focussed in expanding its portfolio into specialised industry like Space, Aviation, Marine Hull and Employee Benefits continuously, by leveraging on technological advancement in Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Modelling.
He is a Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the NRC of Theta Edge Berhad and Independent Director and Chairman of the Risk and Audit Committee of Jentayu Sustainables Berhad. |
Jeyabalan SK Parasingam

Jeyabalan is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), a CFA charter holder and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM). He spent his early career in companies such as Ernst & Young, RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Berhad, CLSA and ASTRO prior to commencing his journey into private equity and private equity real estate and has garnered nearly 30 years of investment banking, finance, real estate and operational management experience.
Jeyabalan has over a decade of Private Equity and Private Real Estate Investment Management experience, raising over USD800 million in equity capital commitments. He has been intimately involved in the setting up of several private equity platforms notably Alpha REIT (Malaysia’s 1st unlisted Shariah compliant REIT funded by the Employees Provident Fund), AREA Industrial Development Fund 1 LP (a logistics development fund with investors such as EPF, CPPIB and Sparinvest) and Creador 1 Ltd (a private equity fund which focussed on Malaysia, India and Indonesia). He is also the Chairman of the Risk Management and Audit Committee of Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd and Audit Committee and NRC Chairman of Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad. |
Boon Joon Siang

Boon Joon Siang is currently the Group Finance Director of Jentayu Capital Group. He is responsible for all the corporate, treasury and finance functions of the group. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of United Kingdom and a Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He obtained his Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) from TAR College. He began his career as an auditor with an international accounting firm in year 1995. He has served on various external and internal audits, due diligence review, share valuation, risk management and corporate finance engagements in various public listed and private limited companies in Malaysia and overseas. He joined a local conglomerate in year 2000 that has synergistic areas of business in construction, property development, infrastructure, services and manufacturing. His last position with the conglomerate was Chief Financial Officer.

Chong Oi Yin

Chong Oi Yin holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Financial Mathematics from University Malaysia Terengganu. She has spent over 10 years in a local boutique financial advisory firm where she has gained breadth of experience in corporate finance transactions and fundraising activities. She has had experience involved from origination to execution of transactions including deal assessment, financial modelling, due diligence and transaction documentations. She specialises in debt capital market transactions and has involved in successful debt funding transactions worth more than RM4 billion.
